WHITE CLIFFS WEEKENDER 2011 - THE CLUBS FIRST RALLY AS THE DEALERS

WHITE CLIFFS WEEKENDER I (2011)

The Dealers first scootering weekender was held at a great venue local to Deal in Kent & what a fantastic event it turned out to be. A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL THAT CAME, SUPPORTED US, AND HAD A PARTY.

Over 300 party goers came and joined us for the weekend party in Kents White Cliffs Countryside. The main clubs in attendance where the A259ers, The Sittingbourne Knights, Thanet Scooterists, Big 7, Sid James, Medway Aces, Are we There Yet SC, 69Sloths, South Kent Saints, OLAS SC. This was a caravan club site attached to a country pub with great camping and food ammenities given over specially for this event. Entertainment was outdoors in tented area. The entertainment included top live acts and DJ's - as well White Cliffs themed rideout round the Dover Cliffs and a posing stop outside the Kings Head in Deal. The Custom Scooter Competion attracted some 'beautiful', 'rare', and downright 'daft' machines. The weather for the weekend was unusualy dreadful with flash thunderstorms and lightening on the saturday afternoon followed by Hailstorms - believe it or not! But, undeterred, you hard core weather hardened lot continued to enjoy yourselves regardless - and as if by magic the weather cleared each evening for the entertainment to proceed.

We've learned a good few lessons as you'd expect and White Cliffs Weekender 2012 will be bigger and better than ever. The main improvements will be the weather (lol), improved catering with vegetarian options, improved mix of scooter sounds, and the chance to have some games in the afternoon.

Gates opened Friday 11am, bar from 12pm, DJ's start 1pm, Happy Hour 5pm - 7pm Beer at £2 pint at the pub bar. followed by DJ's, Mr Bridger, then AS IS NOW. Saturday loads of scootering fun and TOTAL JAM, TOOTNSKAMEN, DJ's..........One Love, The Dealers x

White Cliffs Weekender was the Official Departure Rally for the Long Scoot Down, which gathered a high profile with Scooter Clubs across the UK and in the press, with celebrities and public figures backing the venture. The ride was officially prepared for departure here and returned triumphantly - to the Camber Sands Rally. For further news of that see here.
